Albacore tuna, or longfin tuna, is a species of tuna found in oceans and seas around the world. It was the original basis of the canned tuna industry, and is marketed in the United States as "white meat tuna".

Conservation status

Many albacore tuna fisheries are GOOD choices, with sustainable and CERTIFIED options. Buyers should avoid tuna caught with drifting longlines due to concerns about bycatch.
